Gus works in the area of applications of optical cavitites to physiological questions - linked mainly with the study of respiration. The group uses sensitive cavity enhanced techniques to analyse oxygen, carbon dioxide and water levels in breathe to investigate the effects of stresses on the respiratory cycle. This project is an inter disciplinary venture with the Physiology department.
